If I could be a scientist...I would figure out a way for women to stop AIDS when a man won't use a condom. AIDS is about to wipe out Africa...unacceptable. Unfortunately you can preach condoms all day long as the miracle halt to AIDS, a woman can carry a condom around, but if she doesn't have the power in a relationship to make the man wear a condom or abstain, said condom is useless.
If I could be a farmer...
If I could be a doctor...
If I could be a painter...
If I could be a gardener...
If I could be a missionary...I would teach sustainable substinance farming and livestock management. I would especially love to manage a womens loan program or a program of the kind where you give a woman a rooster and some chickens, and a pair of goats, then she has food (eggs and milk) and an income producing livelihood (selling the extra eggs and some of the chicks and some of the milk and young from the goats. My family would learn to live within their culture, not expect them to adapt to us. There would be bibles in our home, yes. The folks would be welcome to hear the good news in our home, yes. But we would not preach, build a church without a specific request, build a school with the intent of preaching in it while also teaching other things, etc. I would do these things in Asia or Africa.
If I could be a chef...
If I could be an architect...
If I could be a linguist...
If I could be a psychologist...I would never ever ever utter the phrase No one can make you feel anything. You are responsible for your own feelings.
If I could be a librarian...
If I could be an athlete...
If I could be a lawyer...I would represent people with disabilities and their families/foster families in various ways including managing guardianship. Mainly I would be a ball having person who would, for free, sue schools and adult service providers who intentionally fuck with families (for harassment or whatever), provide less than they are legally obligated to and sue the state (yes the state!) when they do not uphold their legal obligation to provide permanency for wards in a timely fashion. I wouldn't be a good lawyer because I'm very emotional, hold grudges and would want to sue everyone even if it meant wasting the taxpayers money because I'm sick and fucking tired of these people not being held accountable for the decisions they make, not living up to their established purpose (ie:case managers are indeed supposed to provide management of said case), the money they waste, and the horrible judgementalway they treat the family members of these people. (LOL, lovingly stroking my soapbox)
If I could be an innkeeper...
If I could be a professor...
If I could be a writer...I would write a comprehensive travelogue, a little in the style of Theroux's "Dark Star Safari", but start in South Africa and work my was up through the middle east, through Persia, down through central Asia to India down on the coast to the southern tip and then back up and around through south east Asia and then end in the Phillipines. Right. I've given this no thought at all, LOL.
If I could be a llama rider...
If I could be a bonnie pirate...
If I could be an astronaut...
If I could be a world famous blogger...
If I could be a justice on any one court in the world...
If I could be married to any current famous political figure...
Okay. Now it is your turn Jules, Jane and Nikki.
